Manage Your Subscription

A subscription unlocks paid resources for your projects, additional production workers, staging and development environments, more storage, and longer backup retention. Subscriptions are attached to a billing account, so every project under that account shares its plan, payment method, and any committed discounts.

If you don't have a subscription, your projects run on the free tier.

note

Managing a subscription requires the Admin role on the billing account. See Billing Accounts → Access Rights.

View your current subscription

  1. Open the Billing area from the main menu.
  2. Select the billing account you want to review.
  3. Open its Subscriptions page.

There you can see the active plan, what it includes, the next renewal date, and the projects drawing on the account.

Subscribe or change a plan

  1. Go to Billing → your billing account → Subscriptions.
  2. Choose the plan that matches the resources you need.
  3. Confirm. If the account has no payment method yet, you'll be prompted to add one first (see Payment Options).

Changes take effect immediately. Upgrading raises your available resources right away; the cost difference is reflected on your next invoice.

tip

You don't need to recreate a project to move it onto a paid plan. Because the subscription lives on the billing account, just add or upgrade the subscription on the account the project already uses.

What a subscription unlocks

Compared with the free tier, a paid subscription lets you:

  • Run production workers (provisioned in blocks of three) for more concurrent users.
  • Create staging and development branches.
  • Use more database, filestore, and backup storage.
  • Add custom domains and turn off the Cloudflare proxy.

Billing is usage-based, you pay for the resources you actually run. See Payment Options for exactly what is metered and how the billing cycle works.

Save with a commitment

If your usage is predictable, a committed discount lowers your effective rate in exchange for committing to a baseline level of resources for a period of time. Commitments are set up on the billing account.

Cancel a subscription

  1. Go to Billing → your billing account → Subscriptions.
  2. Cancel the active subscription.

When a subscription ends, the account's projects return to the free tier: production is resized to the free configuration, staging and development deployments are removed, and the worker count is reset. Your data is not deleted, re-subscribing restores paid resources.

caution

Cancelling affects every project on the billing account, since the subscription is shared. If different projects need different plans, put them on separate billing accounts.
